Dear community members,
At the recent meeting of your board several issues were discussed that the board felt was important to share with the community. First of all, Mr. Bobbie Fisher was elected to the board to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Mr. Maya. Please welcome Mr. Fisher to the board.

Additionally, two stickers will be mailed to each home to help our police patrols identify cars that are owned by residents of the community. Additional stickers are available upon request by email to Mr. Fisher at bobbie@lakesofemeraldhills.org . The stickers should be attached to the back of the rear view mirror, facing forward, so that police can easily identify vehicles belonging to residents. Only vehicles belonging to residents should have stickers attached.

Due to the large number of mosquitoes in the area, Broward County representatives are regularly spraying in our community. Additional spraying can be done free of charge at your residence, if you send a request to http://www.broward.org/streets/shi00307.htm.

Tree trimming has been approved for our communal areas to decrease damage secondary to any upcoming storms. Residents are encouraged to trim their trees as well. You can contact Big Bear Tree Service, Mr. Troy O’Dell and Mr. Robert Diaz at 954 818 9431.

The board would like to modify the deed restrictions and other association governing documents to better serve the community. A committee consisting of three current board members has been formed to further explore and define this issue. Anyone who wants to participate, please contact the secretary, Ira Posner, at ira@lakesofemeraldhills.org .

We have noticed an increase of solicitors in the neighborhood. Our police are instructed to stop all solicitors. Any resident can contact our police at 954 247 4357 to report an unwanted solicitor or discuss any security matter. They will respond promptly.
